1. Descriptions of Plaques
All of our plaques are made to the highest of standards using only Welsh Slate.
Any markings in the slate are natural, and is not considered to be unusual but unique.
All plaques are deeply engraved not printed.
Any colour variations may occur due to the natural material used.
All sizes quoted are approximate.
The “Secret Fix” used on our plaques is to mount onto a wall, nylon pins are sunk into the back of the sign. (Instructions should arrive on how to fit and look after your plaque)
We also use screw holes and provide the screw and black caps for fitting.
2. Payment and Pricing
Unless otherwise stated all goods must be paid for in full before being despatched from us. All prices are in GB Pounds Sterling. All prices shown EXCLUDE VAT which will be added at Payment Confirmation. Deliveries to Non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of goods. You will be liable for these duties.
3. Delivery
We will confirm delivery times with you for your opening plaque, usually 2-3 weeks, if we are unable to deliver during this period then you will be notified via email or telephone as to when your delivery will be expected. We will not refund or replace goods that are delayed in transit due to any reason including industrial action by third parties.
Free and Charged delivery refers to an order being sent to a given address once only.
Urgent orders take priority and will be charged accordingly – allow 7 working days.
4. Confidentiality
All payments taken via our website use a secure server. Our payments are taken securely.
All confidential information is held securely and used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Customer details are not passed to any third party, but we reserve the right to pass on contact telephone numbers to our delivery company in order to deliver, unless specifically requested not to do so.
5. Cancellations and Returns
If your goods are not manufactured to your specifications then you have the right to cancel the contract return the goods and receive either a full refund or replacement, if you are returning your goods then please state your reasons why.

7. Distance Selling Regs
Please note, under new distance selling regulations, customised and personalised items are not covered by the 14 day cooling off period and by ordering, you accept this.
8. Damaged Goods
Orders are checked before being dispatched and are packaged well to avoid damage during transit, however, we are only human and occasionally mistakes do happen. If your order reaches you in a damaged condition:
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace it. You will be required to email us with photos of both the item in the state that it arrived and the packaging it arrived in to info@slatesign.co.uk. This enables a much faster resolution. You have 14 days following delivery to do this, after which we are not responsible.
9. Proofs
You will be emailed prior to manufacture with a production proof for approval, this will finalise all spacings and spellings etc. once agreed this cannot be changed.
10. Urgent Order
If you need an “Urgent Order” your order will jump straight to the top of our production queue and be manufactured straight away, please allow 7 working days from date of order to delivery. Your production proof will be emailed to you the same working day.
